Popejoy Inc. is looking for a hard-working individual to join our team as a residential and light-commercial HVAC Installer. This is a full-time position that offers a full benefit package and competitive pay.


Job Qualifications and Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Must have 4-5 years' experience in installing HVAC equipment
  • Be able to properly install heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both residential and commercial customers
  • The ability to properly read and interpret manufacturer manuals and wiring diagrams
  • Diagnose issues with HVAC units during installation if the equipment isn't operating correctly
  • Connect heating or air conditioning equipment to fuel, water, refrigerant, and/or electrical source to form complete circuit
  • Study blueprints, design specifications, or manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components
  • Install and test automatic, programmable, or wireless thermostats in residential or commercial buildings to minimize energy usage for heating or cooling
  • Install air purification systems, such as specialized filters, REME HALOs, electronic CleanEffects systems or ultraviolet (UV) light purification systems
  • Cut or drill holes in floors, walls, or roof to install equipment, using power saws or drills.
  • Install auxiliary components to heating or cooling equipment, such as expansion or discharge valves, air ducts, pipes, blowers, dampers, flues, etc.
  • Fabricate ductwork to make proper connections
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in HVAC installations in residential and commercial settings
  • Valid Driver's License Required
